About Us

Two women, a shared spark of creativity, and a whole lot of love for great scents. Welcome to Midwest Scents!

We’re Danielle and Susan, the duo behind our small, women-owned business in southeastern Wisconsin. Our bond feels a lot like family, and Midwest Scents is where we bring our creativity, curiosity, and favorite fragrances together.

It started with “Let’s try making candles”

We thought making candles would be a fun, relaxing hobby. What followed? Months of research, testing, experimenting, and plenty of trial and error. Along the way, we discovered that our real excitement wasn’t just about candles. It was about wax melts.

The more we explored, the more ideas we had. Before long, our “just for fun” project had become something we wanted to share. Midwest Scents was born from that excitement: finding scents we love and creating home-fragrance products for others to enjoy.

Meet the women behind the scents

Danielle is a wife, mom of two, and creative business owner who also makes custom t-shirts, tumblers, and designs. When she’s not bringing an idea to life, she loves traveling, trying new foods, and spending time with her family.

Susan is a mom of three, engaged to be married, and the owner of a residential cleaning business. She enjoys cooking, traveling, and making memories with her four grandchildren. There’s always something on her calendar, and usually something cooking, too!

From our favorite scents to your everyday moments

What began with wax melts has grown into a collection that includes squeezable wax, room sprays, carpet freshner, car diffusers, Body Sprays and Roller Ball Perfumes with more ideas on the way. Our inspiration is simple: scents we love and the little moments they can make feel special.

Whether you’re refreshing your space, picking out a thoughtful gift, or discovering a new favorite fragrance, we’re happy you found us.

You’re part of our story

Every order, kind word, and recommendation helps our small business grow. Thank you for getting to know us and supporting Midwest Scents. We’re excited to share what comes next, one scent at a time.
